Kelly Kirschner

“I don’t get involved in politics.” “Neither do I. What I get involved in is building community.” That’s the spirit of this campaign. In this video, people who have known and worked alongside Kelly Kirschner for years explain why they’re with him. He builds relationships across communities, not just inside city...

It’s Election Day, and FL-16 is within reach. For 20 years Vern Buchanan held this seat in an R+14 district. Today it’s an open seat at R+6. The president weighed in this week because the establishment Joe Gruters has run for more than a decade is in trouble, and Gruters is afraid he’ll lose this seat. Kelly...

Kelly walked through the Epstein Files Mobile Library: about 17 tons of paper tied to what’s been released so far. Nearly half of it still hasn’t been made public. It was a moving experience. But nobody has investigated any of it. That isn’t an accident. It shows us systems that are corrupt. So how do we reform the...

Put the money in, and the legislation comes out. In a wide-ranging interview with WTSP, Kelly Kirschner explains how Florida’s property insurance crisis shows exactly how Gruters vending machine politics works, and why families are paying for it. As Jason Garcia reported this summer in Seeking Rents, Sen. Joe...

Will the real Kelly Kirschner please stand up? On To Tell the Truth, the impostors tried to fool the panel. In FL-16, Sydney Gruters’ own campaign is trying to fool voters. Her TV ad, “Paid for by Sydney Gruters for Congress,” uses artificial intelligence to stage a perp walk that never happened and to change a real...

→ Vote for Kelly Kirschner. Today is the last day of early voting. Election Day is Tuesday. Bring a neighbor. Get out and vote. "If we want somebody whose heart is in the right place, this is the guy!" "He's about uniting us, not dividing us." "I don't care if you're a Democrat, you're an independent, you're a...

It’s Halloween, and there are signs of Spooky Trolls at the polls. Our signs are getting blocked, and theirs are popping up inside the 150-foot no-campaign zone around polling places, which Florida law prohibits. If you see a sign within 150 feet of a polling place entrance, report it to the poll deputy or the...

With the election just days away, Kelly Kirschner put on a baseball uniform and spent the afternoon at a Halloween event on St. Pete’s Central Avenue. He asked passersby, many of them young families, one question: when the new Congress starts work in January 2027, what should it fix first? The uniform fit. As a...

“Kelly is not trying to be a politician. Kelly is trying to effect positive change.” Manatee County Commissioner George Kruse has known Kelly Kirschner since they were kids. They played football together at Cardinal Mooney, where they both learned the Ten Commandments, including the Eighth: Thou shalt not bear false...

Congressman Maxwell Alejandro Frost said it clearly: “We need Kelly to win this seat.” Why? Because Kelly won't be a rubber stamp for an agenda that’s hurting us. There are just a few days left. Dark money is flooding this race, and it’s still a toss-up. That means every vote, every conversation and every door...

When we won the primary, I told the story of the Spartan soldier Dienekes, who was told that the Persian archers had so many arrows they would blot out the sun, he calmly replied, “Good. Then we shall fight in the shade.” Today, we find ourselves fighting in the shadow of dark money and powerful special interests....

In May, Kelly Kirschner was about to launch his campaign when word came that vandals had broken and defaced 17 graves at Old Memphis Cemetery in Palmetto. He postponed the kick-off. Instead of gathering to celebrate, he picked up a shovel and joined neighbors to clean up and restore the graves. Old Memphis is a...

Kelly took the case for getting big money out of politics to Newsmax, because this isn’t a Republican issue or a Democratic one. Spending in this year’s midterms is closing in on $11 billion, about $1.5 billion more than in 2024. District 16 shows where that money goes. The Tampa Bay Times reports that Elon Musk,...

“We need real representation in Congress,” said Ben Diamond, an environmental attorney and former St. Petersburg State Representative. “We need people that are honest, that have integrity, that are going to stand up and do what’s right, and not care so much about what letter is after your name, but about what the...

That’s Kerry Kirschner, former Sarasota mayor and longtime head of the Argus Foundation, addressing his son from the dais. He was lobbying the City Commission to renew Florida Power & Light’s franchise for another 30 years. Kelly thought a 30-year deal let FPL off the hook for accountability. So when his father...

Sydney Gruters is running for Congress in FL-16. She is also the wife of the Chairman of the Republican National Committee, the man in charge of the Republican Party nationwide. You’d expect her campaign to know Florida’s election rules. Instead, a Gruters staffer was filmed working an early voting site in campaign...

CPA Bill Hackney received the DeSoto County Chamber of Commerce’s Lifetime Achievement Award for his service to the community. So when Bill says Kelly Kirschner “would be an excellent representative for this area in Congress,” that means something. Bill points to Kelly’s grasp of agriculture, immigration, and ICE...

Our yard signs made the crime beat! ABC7 caught up with a voter whose yard got a visit from a would-be sign snatcher. Louie has seen the footage, and he’s taking it personally. He’s reporting for duty as official yard-sign watchdog, and he isn’t working alone. The whole pack is on patrol, including Sosa, who cracked...

“That’s just who Kelly is.” Manatee County Commissioner George Kruse puts people over party and explains why he supports Kelly Kirschner for Congress in Florida’s 16th District. Kruse and Kirschner met at 13, played football together, and graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School together. Kruse says he has watched...
